As winter approaches its great to start thinking about activities for your kids to do. Here are just a few of our ideas!
1. Chores- have him/her do age-appropriate chores (e.g. sweeping, vacuuming, organizing, washing dishes) 2. Family Exercise- instead of waking up Saturday morning and watching TV, try a Saturday morning family exercise routine and then go about your day 3. Organized Sports- check out your local community centers (e.g. YMCA), schools, and sport organizations 4. Volunteer- have your child help serve the community by volunteering at a soup kitchen, church, or other organization serving those in need.
Keeping your child active and engaged will help foster a healthy lifestyle year-round, encourage being community-minded instead of being self-absorbed, and build positive characteristics in your child that are life-long.
