Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
RSV causes a serious viral infection in children, especially infants. It is the: #1 cause of hospitalization for infants #1 cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants
What to look for:
RSV infection can cause cold-like symptoms, including cough and runny nose and usually last for 1-2 weeks.
Prevention: Avoid sick people- this includes grandparents! Wash your hands a lot- soap and water are the best. Cover your cough and sneeze- plus that's the polite thing to do. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands Clean and disinfect surfaces
